Year 2000 Compliance Statement for DC Micro Development Software Products
Dear Valued Customer:DC Micro Development confirms that the Products ("Products") listed below have been tested to certify that they are each "Year 2000 Compliant", as defined below, when configured and used in accordance with the related documentation; provided the underlying operating system ("OS") of the host machine, and any non DC Micro Development-owned software provided with or in the host machine or Products, also are Year 2000 Compliant.
The Products rely on the date-handling capabilities of the underlying operating system. Processing and display of date information through the user interface is dependent on the date data provided by the underlying operating system, and will be correct if that OS is Year 2000 Compliant. Concerns regarding Year 2000 Compliance of the host operating system should be directed to the provider of that operating system.
DC Micro Development has not tested this software on all platforms or all versions of operating systems that it currently supports. Therefore, it is imperative that the user of the software verify that the underlying operating system and platform support the transition to the year 2000.
Year 2000 Compliant is defined as the ability to: (i) correctly handle date information needed for the December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000 date change; (ii) function according to the related documentation accompanying the Server Products needed for the December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000 date change, without changes in operation resulting from the advent of the new century assuming correct configuration; (iii) where appropriate, respond to two digit date input in a way that resolves the ambiguity as to century in a disclosed, defined and predetermined manner; (iv) if the date elements in interfaces and data storage specify the century, store and provide output of date information in ways that are unambiguous as to century; and (v) recognize year 2000 as a leap year.
