Do you offer finance for the course?
We can offer you a personal 4 instalment payment plan with 0% APR. Or we can also put you in touch with our finance brokers who are happy to offer a payment plan over a longer term. Both finance options are available for both machines and training. Minumum amount to finance is £1,000
Will I be fully qualified in Micropigmentation when I finish the course?
Yes, is the answer, you will receive certification immediately upon successful completion of any of our course’s, Pigmentology 1&2 and Focus Level 4 (only when doing Brows, Eyes and Lips). With this qualification you are fully qualified to offer to your clients all of the treatments you have trained and qualified in. Our brows only course will enable you to get insurance and a DC Micropigmentation certification. A level 4 qualification will require you to complete the full course; Brows, Eyes and Lips
Can I do Focus level 4 without a level 3?
Unfortunately the prerequisites to apply for any level 4 qualification states that you must hold a level 3 qualification in any course that has covered Anatomy and Physiology. On the plus side here at DC Micro we offer this exact course. You will be given access to Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology on our online platform and gain the qualification from the comfort of your own home. Once you have gained this qualification you can then start your Focus Level 4 in Micropigmentation?
Do I need to do Focus Level 4 Micropigmentation?
Although it is not compulsory for you to have a Focus Level 4 some councils may still have this as a requirement before they give you a licence to work. Please check with your local council to check their individual standards for micropigmentation technicians.
Will I be able to get insurance when I qualify?
Yes, all of our courses are recognised by many insurance companies throughout the U.K. Upon completion of any course and certification is received you can then apply for your insurance.
Do I need to do anything before I start?
We would recommend before you undertake any course in Micropigmentation to always contact your local council beforehand. They can offer you advise of what you need in place in order to carry out micropigmentation treatments in the safest possible manor. They can give you advise based on you working solely from one place of work or if you are looking to travel to different salons to offer your treatments to clients.
Where will I do my training course?
We have a beautiful clinic and training academy in Cottingley (near Bingley and Bradford). All training courses and practical days are carried out at the training academy. Training can range from 1-5 days depending on the training course you select. We also have an online platform which all students will have access to before the course starts ensuring that students can access course questions prior to training days at the academy. We have easy access to our academy by any means of travel, bus, train and flying. The airport closest to us is Leeds and Bradford airport which is just 20 minutes away. We also have access to discounted rates at the Mercure Hotel which is a short walk away from the training academy.
How many students are in one class?
We like to focus on the quality of our training and always ensure that we are delivering the best training possible. We feel that smaller class sizes are more successful and also ensures that all students reach their full potential. All class sizes have a maximum of 6 students to one trainer & practical assessment days have a maximum of 3 students to one trainer. Masterclasses are usually one to one, one student and one trainer or a maximum of 2 to one.
Will I receive ongoing support once I have qualified?
We at DC Micro believe that training and ongoing support are essential to ensure you feel confident enough to establish a successful career within the micropigmentation industry. Upon completion of any of our courses you will be given access to our support group on Facebook. All of our students new and old are in the group including our trainers, all sharing posts, tips and advice and support for anything you need. You will also have a private Messenger group for with your trainer, other students in your class and yourself for any advice and support you need. You can also reach the trainers by email or contact number where they can arrange a time to call if you have any questions. DC Micro also offer Skill Days regularly at the training academy for a very small fee.
What will I learn on the course?
Depending on what course you choose the learning criteria will be different. We offer basic courses to new students right up to masterclasses for more advanced training and techniques. Basic training covers absolutely everything you need to know to get you started on your micropigmentation journey. Basic courses can focus on just brows OR why not offer the works to your clients and add a couple more days to train in eyeliner and lips. We can also tailor make masterclasses to your specific wants and needs, just ask us and I’m sure we can find or create a course to suit all of your needs.
