Ensure the Success of Your Scalp Micropigmentation with GOOD Aftercare

Scalp micropigmentation demands both pre and post-treatment care to optimize results. This page provides essential guidance on pre and post-treatment care, vital for achieving the best outcomes in the shortest time frame possible.

For those utilizing hairpieces or wigs, despite their modern quality and skin-friendly attributes, it’s essential to acknowledge the possibility of skin flakiness or excessive trauma. To counteract this, we strongly recommend skin preparation before undergoing tricopigmentation. Consult your dermatologist to ready your skin for the procedure. Below, discover the recommended daily aftercare routines, applicable to all scenarios.

PREPARING FOR SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION

In general the following recommendations apply:

  1. Do not fix the prosthesis / hair piece with glue for one month prior to treatment
  2. If you wish to keep wearing the hairpiece during this period, it could be worn during the day and taken off at night.
  3. When the hairpiece is not worn, a pharmacological treatment recommended by your doctor should be applied. This treatment often involves an ointment with 1% cortisone content.

After a month of following these guidelines the skin will have regenerated and will be ready for your Scalp Micropigmentation.
